Finally we made it back out to the coast. Newport, Oregon is such an idyllic little town. The Elizabeth Inn is the perfect hotel for us. The mattresses are comfortable, the fireplace is cozy and the balcony with it's ocean view is just perfect.

It's been six months since we last went to the coast. This time the pelicans were still there and I had the opportunity to photograph them in 35mph wind gusts.

Walking the beach was incredible, the fresh sea air is rejuvenating. Listening to the waves crash ashore is calming and feeling the wind in my hair was elating.
Jeremy and Lan had a wonderful time checking out starfish and other sea creatures in the tidepools

while I was photographing the pelicans

and the Yaquina Head Lighthouse.
