Just to start, the passed year has been a roller coaster ride, getting physically healthy (had crazy BP) to divorcing and moving out on my own and trying to find out who I am after 27 years of "just" being a mom.... It's all overwhelming in a sense that I feel a little lost, trying to figure out who I am, a little lonely and I wonder what has become of the REAL me????
I am going to list a few of the things that define who I am, my loves and passions:
I think my number one passion has always been photography and horses, it really is quite a toss up between the two so I am putting both of them in the number one slot, hey this is my blog and I can put two into my number slot :D
I love motorcycles, sports cars, nature, wildlife, the ocean, anything outdoors really.
Note how I purposely left out being a mom.... naturally, having 3 children, being a mom is what I am, but not what defines me.
My banter has been with motivating myself to use my camera more often again, of course right now it's Winter in Washington state and in general, at least on the western side, it's cold, dark, dreary and often rainy which doesn't inspire me to be outdoors much which in turn often leaves me with cabinfever. I feel like I am rambling right now and this blog is all over the place, but isn't that what blogs are all about? >.<
I do have a studio in which I could shoot different things but the funk has taken over and I just need to slap myself silly, I have all of this amazing gear and I am not putting it to good use. Some of the previous images I produced in my studio will follow this very first blog of day ONE! :D
A real great friend of mine gave me the challenge to photograph at least one photo every day and start a blog.
Another great friend of mine gave me a good slap to the face and said (his words not mine): "Quit yer bitchin', pull up your big girl pants, and get the hell out there."
SO.... HERE I am, blogging hahaha again..... and picking up my camera again.
The challenge for today is to photograph lines, I will stop by later on today and post one or two of them. What follows for now are a couple of water drop collision images which
were produced in my studio, 2 wired flash units, the Nikon D300 and a
Sigma 105mm macro f2.8
Oh hey Terri :D how about you do the same???? Write, photograph, post,
share?! :)
